How It All Started
In 2021, our founder Alex Johnson was a full-time WhatNot seller struggling to manage live auctions while keeping chat clean and engaging. After one particularly chaotic stream where trolls nearly derailed a major sale, Alex knew there had to be a better way.
That night, the idea for ModStream was born. What if creators could have access to trained, professional moderators on-demand? What if scheduling moderation was as easy as booking a ride?
Today, ModStream has grown from a small team of passionate moderators to a full-service platform trusted by thousands of creators across WhatNot and TikTok. We've moderated over 10,000 streams and continue to innovate in the live streaming space.
